sextalkNow that I have your attention, I need to tell you why this tough stuff is necessary!

This generation is faced with heavy media influence everywhere. It is CRITICAL your children have the correct information so they can process with confidence.  Hope Unlimited Family Care Center provides a safe, in-school opportunity for your children through our Positive Potential program.

We want to EMPOWER your kids! Family Resource Director Derek Waddell and myself, Young Adult Development Coordinator Keisha Hopkins, team up in our schools to offer students a dynamic learning environment.  Kids learn the power of their choice and the importance of their NOW decisions effecting the future outcomes. We set goals and equip them to have the self-worth to make healthy choices.

Our Awesome Volunteers!

volunteersDid you know many young people spend their summer vacation volunteering in our community stores?  Several exceptional kids sorted, cleaned and hung items in both Paducah and Metropolis.  They gave more than 135 hours of their time! We also had a group of 20 youth come from Concord United Methodist Church to work with us.

Family–what does that really mean? I’ve come to learn that it means a lot of different things. Depending who you ask, family doesn’t necessarily mean “blood,” but, more often than not, it’s connection…a true feeling of belonging.

Hope Unlimited Family Care Center’s team is passionate about helping families thrive, feel empowered, and know the power of God’s love.

Romans 8:16-17 says, “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.”

“We are Heirs of God.” Do you realize what that means? If you are a child of God, then WE ARE FAMILY! But, what about those who don’t know the gift of God’s love? You give. You volunteer. You pray. Thank you! We could not be His hands and feet each day without you. Lives are saved; people are loved; hope is given.

You are an important part of Hope Unlimited Family Care Center. So, if you have not been told before, let me be the first to say, “Welcome to the Family!”

Hope springs eternal, so they say.  If you drive by our Paducah center on 11th Street, you’ll see this lived out before you in our renovated Family Garden!

This fresh, inviting space was created through a truly collaborative effort.  Families bought memorialized bricks for the path, two churches provided the financial backing and the labor needed for the greenery.  Even Paducah’s Mayor Gayle Kaler and James Sanders Nursery made gifts to round out the garden.

We’ve already seen parents rest under our tree.  Other families have had a chance to reflect in the garden.  Family felt welcome.  We invite YOU to enjoy the Family Garden and help it grow!
