Metropolis Receptionist

Reports to: Metropolis Center Director

Position Summary

The position of receptionist for the Center exists for the purpose of assisting the Metropolis Center Director  to promote office management by performing clerical tasks as necessary and to greet and screen clients calling or coming into the Center for our services while the Center is open. The receptionist will be evaluated on a yearly basis by the Center Director.

     

      Requirements

      • Be a committed Christian who has and demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
      • Have a strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of all human life
      • Be a member in    good standing and in regular attendance at a local church
      • Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Faith, Statement of Principles and policies of the Center
      • Completion of receptionist training
      • Ability to keep information confidential
      • Ability to perform clerical duties
      • Friendly and clearly understood voice
      • Be skilled in interpersonal communication and problem solving skill

      Responsibilities

      General

      • Schedule appointments according to the guidelines of the Center
      • Work closely with the Center Director
      • Answer telephone and route calls according to the phone routine procedure
      • Greet clients and keep them aware of any delay in the schedule as needed
      • Instruct client to read and sign “Request for Service” form
      • File folders in proper order
      • Communicate to the volunteers any policy changes and forms and offer instruction when needed
      • Assist Center Director (CD) with LTE program materials/Bible Studies
      • Responsible for Way Cool Scheduler details
      • Facilitating phone contact with clients for appointment reminders
      • Tracking of no show clients and report findings to Center Director weekly
      • Purchase of general office supplies as well as supplies for the LTE room as approved by Center Director
      • Utilize computer skills
      • Perform duties necessary to assist Center Director
      • Perform clerical duties as assigned
      • Have copies of all updated paperwork/curriculum ready and available

      Training

      • Attend monthly staff meetings and in-services
      • Complete any trainings that the Center Director and or Executive Director Requires
      • Be familiar with materials and supplies provided by Center to be used for clients
