Beth & Adam
Beth has this to say about being a mom connected to Hope Unlimited Family Care Center – Metropolis:
“I started coming to Hope Unlimited in September of 2014, when I found out I was pregnant with my first child, Adam. The journey with Hope has been a positive, faith-affirming experience for me. The connection I have felt with my mentor and the staff has also helped calm my feelings of homesickness for Virginia, where my family lives.
As my pregnancy progressed, so did complications. In January 2015, I had to have emergency surgery to keep the baby inside of me due to an incompetent cervix. After surgery, I was placed on strict bed rest and had to quit my job to comply. Then, six weeks later, my son was born nine weeks premature.
It has been Hope Unlimited and my wonderful mentor, Nelda, who has helped me through the emotional ups and downs, as well as helping to keep my faith strong.
At six weeks old, my son was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma. Through it all, yet again, everyone at Hope prayed for him and our family.
Now at eight months old, Adam has completed chemo and had clear scans post-chemo. God answers prayer – and HE hears our cries.
The blessing of Hope Unlimited Family Care Center has surmounted every aspect of my new motherhood journey.”
