As we continue to partner with you to show moms and dads they are Not Alone in their circumstances, we are discovering new ways to support families.
Together, we have gifted four, new car seats to expectant moms with the hlp of committed churches and service organizations. Our prenatal care clinic is growing, too! Other non-profit agencies have connected several expecting families new to our area to Hope Unlimited Family Care Center. We just celebrated our second annual neighborhood Block Party at the Paducah location. We have another one scheduled at our Metropolis center this month! These opportunities to reach out to the community are only possible through the combined efforts of business, church and individual partners.
So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life – your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life – and place it before God as an offering. – Romans 12:1 (MSG)
It’s in our everyday, ordinary life, as we encounter others with God’s love and kindness that the culture begins to shift. When parents feel empowered and have the knowledge and resources they need to better care for their family, God begins to transform.
I invite you to hear more about a new part you can play in showing parents they are Not Alone to be announced at our annual Gala Tuesday, September 18.
YOUR INVESTMENT IN OUR PARENTING PROGRAM IS PAYING OFF! Several of the moms we mentor are transition from learning from us to serving with us.
Learn to Earn is our long-standing, free and confidential parenting program. It’s individualized to help moms and dads with their family challenges like child-rearing, under-employment or co-parenting. Learn to Earn also includes optional Bible Studies to help parents explore how their relationship with God might influence those in their home.
A few parents have successfully completed their program plan and are now transitioning into a volunteer role at Hope Unlimited Family Care Center. Other parents have told us they are grateful for the guidance and support, but their situations have changed for the better. They’d rather give their appointment to another family in need.
It’s time to get your table for our annual Gala! We’re celebrating all of the ways we united to help families not feel alone. You won’t want to miss it!
We have two guests ready to share their story of hope with you that night. Sandy and Mark Jobe have been married nearly 40 years. They are active in ministry and missions through their church in Texas.
They have a heart for expectant moms. The Jobes have three married children and three grandchildren. There will also be an exciting announcement concerning a new way for you to join us to impact families.
We cannot wait to see you Tuesday, September 18 at the Paducah Convention Center. Doors open at 5:30 PM. Get your ticket or table by calling 270.442.1166.
You can get more bang for your baby bottle when you return it by Father’s Day, Sunday June 17!
The Community Foundation of West Kentucky is matching the funds Hope Unlimited Family Care Center raises during our annual Baby Bottle Campaign… up to a possible $10,000!
Nearly 3,000 Illinois and Kentucky families took empty bottles to fill with change, cash or checks from Mother’s Day to Father’s Day. Hope Unlimited Family Care Center relies on the Community’s support of this fundraiser to continue to serve moms and dads as they raise their children. The more you give; the more families we can help!
You can return a baby bottle at your church or drop one off at one of our centers. If you didn’t get a bottle, but would like to contribute, you can donate securely online at www.hopeunlimitedfcc.org/donate. Thank you for giving!
The Hope Unlimited Family Care Center team has made it our mission to make sure moms and dads feel more supported, empowered, connected and loved—Not Alone!
Galatians 6:2 “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
This year has started off with many blessings and exciting opportunities to engage you, our individual and church partners, with our mission. Working to spread the word about the services we offer is one huge way we can reach our community together.
When parents walk through our door, they find a friendly face, a safe, non-judgmental environment and
– most importantly – the love of Jesus. We believe YOU are how we can do this more
effectively. Please continue to pray for the staff and volunteers who give so much of themselves.
Donate through our community stores (at both locations) so we can provide clothes and supplies to our
moms and dads. Volunteer to be a mentor or to help in the stores or office. Please stop by to tour our centers, learn more about what we are doing and bring a friend with you. Then, begin to refer people to Hope Unlimited Family Care Center. Encourage them (and maybe even give them a ride) so they can learn helpful parenting techniques and life skills, as well as how much Jesus loves and values them.
Life was not meant to be a journey of solitude but one of community. Together we WILL help moms and
dads know they are Not Alone!
