It’s been a year! And, as I think about this past year, as I’ve sat in the executive director’s chair, there have been so many times I have had the opportunity to watch His Love Amazing touch families throughout our communities, both in Paducah and Metropolis.
In May, we cut the ribbon on our newly renovated Metropolis location. Many of our Massac County friends and partners took a tour of the changes. The renovations create more space for parents to learn and more room for the community to shop in Hope’s Closet Community Store. Across the river in Paducah, the Mayor and Judge Executive National Day of Prayer Breakfast brought business owners, church leaders and civic groups together to focus on community. Organizers chose to make Hope Unlimited Family Care Center the beneficiary of this year’s event.
We’re not finished partnering yet, either! Our Jobs for Life program was featured during the Housing Authority of Paducah Community Day, where Hope Unlimited Family Care Center’s Rick Tilley built relationships with under-employed and unemployed men and women. We’re excited to partner with Heartland Cares, Inc. again this year for National HIV Testing Day.
We all play an important role in our community’s success! We all long to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. Thank you for joining us to help show Love Amazing to both sides of the river.
– Nicole Farley, Executive Director
Love Amazing in 2017!
You partnered with us to reach at least 168 new moms and dads this year. Thank you! In January alone, we served 15 new moms and dads along with our regular clients. Parents made 200 appointments; 154 of them showed up. That is 77% of appointments kept! This tells me clients are finding value and support. I want you to know your investment of prayer, finances and support is making an impact.
Ephesians 3:20-21 says, “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus througout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Emphasis added.)
Our greatest need? Prayer! We are open four days a week in Paducah and three in Metropolis. Will you be one of those who partners with us and says, “Yes! I will pray on a certain day at a certain time.” If so, please let us know. We are being intentional in having every hour covered in prayer.
Hope Unlimited Family Care Center is you, our team and the community. Love Amazing is what we have to give. Please help us spread the word to those in your circle of influence. Know there is a place where moms and dads can find the support and resources they need. Together, we impact one family today and generations for years to come.
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! – 1 John 3:1
For the past four years, I’ve had the opportunity of teaching this biblical truth to the families we serve, to volunteers and staff alike. I’ve also had the awesome privilege of partnering with the Father to release His love, His hope and His joy to the mothers and fathers who come through our centers’ door. There’s no greater reward than to see individuals grasp this truth for themselves and watch as God frees them from every chain that has them bound. This is why resigning from my position was not a decision that was made lightly, but with much prayer and consideration.
My last day as Executive Director will be June 23rd, but the Father in all His wisdom and love for His beloved ministry is already providing leadership to move Hope Unlimited Family Care Center to the next level. Nicole Farley, who has served alongside of me for the last year, has been asked by the board of directors to step-in as Interim Executive Director. The board will advertise the position.
Nicole will be eligible to apply for the permanent position. Please know that staff morale is positive. There’s vision for the future impact of Hope Unlimited Family Care Center. The work you’ve partnered with us to do will continue to move forward!
