You Can SaveOne

You Can SaveOne

One in four women will have an abortion in her lifetime.*  There is a father connected to each abortion, too.  This means it’s probably you know someone who has had this experience, but he or she may never talk about it.

You can save one person from living in shame and pain.

Hope Unlimited Family Care Center offers a free and confidential study for men, women and family members who have experienced abortion at any age.  The program, SaveOne, can be completed one-on-one, with a couple or in a group setting.  Hope Unlimited Family Care Center has lead 11 parents through the 10 week session.  Several graduates have shared the program with other people they know and are training to lead groups in the future!

How can you help?  Let your friends know this program is available.  If someone confides in you, offer to bring him or her to Hope Unlimited Family Care Center to learn more about SaveOne.

The Hope Unlimited Family Care Center team has made it our mission to make sure moms and dads feel more supported, empowered, connected and loved—Not Alone!

Galatians 6:2 “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

This year has started off with many blessings and exciting opportunities to engage you, our individual and church partners, with our mission. Working to spread the word about the services we offer is one huge way we can reach our community together.

When parents walk through our door, they find a friendly face, a safe, non-judgmental environment and
– most importantly – the love of Jesus. We believe YOU are how we can do this more
effectively. Please continue to pray for the staff and volunteers who give so much of themselves.
Donate through our community stores (at both locations) so we can provide clothes and supplies to our
moms and dads. Volunteer to be a mentor or to help in the stores or office. Please stop by to tour our centers, learn more about what we are doing and bring a friend with you. Then, begin to refer people to Hope Unlimited Family Care Center. Encourage them (and maybe even give them a ride) so they can learn helpful parenting techniques and life skills, as well as how much Jesus loves and values them.

Life was not meant to be a journey of solitude but one of community. Together we WILL help moms and
dads know they are Not Alone!

Baby Bottle Blitz

Baby Bottle Blitz

Now is the time to start thinking about your church or organization’s Baby Bottle Campaign!

Hope Unlimited Family Care Center distributes baby bottles Mother’s Day to Father’s Day each year.  People fill bottles with cash, change and checks, with a goal to have each bottle contain $30.  Every penny supports and empowers moms and dads to grow stronger families.  Last year, more than 100 churches and many more businesses helped Hope Unlimited Family Care Center raise about $44,000 for parents on both sides of the Ohio River.

Starting or improving your campaign is easy!  We would love to talk to you about how you can help families by filling a bottle.  Call or email us today!

“I wanted to volunteer somewhere after I retired, but I didn’t expect this mentoring program to fill my soul like it does.”  Hope Unlimited Family Care Center Volunteer Nelda Burnett has been serving the Metropolis location for nearly four years.

“I get encouragement by seeing people respond to God in various ways.  [Our parents] respond from where they are… and God and the staff and volunteers meet them wherever they are.”  Miss Nelda mentors moms who come to Hope Unlimited looking for new ways to lead their families.  She loves connecting to new people, but also enjoys being with the staff.  She says, “I’m blessed by being there!”

Would you like to mentor moms or dads?  Hope Unlimited Family Care Center offers free training for men and women.  Call 270.442.1166 or 618.524.5730 to learn more!

Originally from Peru, Sarah Fret moved to Paducah in 2015.  As she explored her new neighborhood, she found Hope Unlimited Family Care Center’s community store, Hope’s Closet.  Sarah learned people in the community donate items to Hope’s Closet.  Donations are then sold at thrift store prices helping families’ bottomline.  The money raised helps fund Hope Unlimited’s free and confidential services for moms and dads.

This inspired Sarah.  She immediately began to volunteer.  “I have walked through a lot of situations in my life. The day I walked into Hope, I knew this was a place, if I gave my time to, I could promote services and opportunities for people to receive hope and love.”  Sarah says her time here has helped her grow professionally.  Her English is improving, and she’s polishing her customer service skills.
